The objectives of the association are:—
a) To promote the development of horsemanship skills focussed mainly on horse events involving cattle.
b) To promote and hold events involving horses, horsemanship skills, competitions, training, social occasions and the sports of Cutting and Team Penning.
Dayboro Cow Horse Club Inc is an Affiliate Club of the Australian Quarter Horse Association, and is based at the Dayboro Show Grounds. The club commenced in January 08 and has a rapidly growing membership base extending from North of Gympie to the Gold Coast and everywhere in between. The club being close to Brisbane, provides a fun, family friendly atmosphere, with opportunities for individuals to excel.
What do we do?
Dayboro Cow Horse Club Inc caters for a wide range of experience and skill levels including those competing at the non pro level, a controlled environment for the green horse, the junior rider and those with limited cattle experience.

Dayboro Cow Horse Club Inc run members practice day/ weekends alternating with a regular Team Penning competition between the months of February to November. Our days focus on the sports of Cutting and Team Penning with regular Cutting practices, Team Penning practices and Team Penning competitions. In addition, the club is supported by a pool of top trainers, allowing for a number of schools and clinics to be held throughout the year, relating to riding and training the cow horse.
Our feature event is the Dayboro Rush Team Penning Challenge to be held in October. This day features a Team Penning extravaganza with top prizes, sponsorship and a final top ten run off.

Insurance
The club has obtained public liability cover through it's affiliation with the Australian Quarter Horse Association. For more detail on this policy please refer to the our partners section of the Australian Quarter Horse Association website, listed in the links section of this website. This policy covers Dayboro Cow Horse Club Inc and it’s riding members, officials and voluntary workers if they are held liable for causing bodily injury or property damage to a third party whilst participating in authorised and/or sanctioned AQHA (Dayboro Cow Horse Club Inc) activities.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no competitors insurance and riders compete at their own risk. It is recommended that competitors explore their own options in terms of personal Insurance cover.
