Presidents Report - May 2010
Hi all
Since my last report the club has been busy with the holding of the Brian Clancy Clinc and the First Pass the Post and Team Penning practice day.
On th 23rd, we held a practice for First Past the Post, a competition that we will be running at the Dayboro Show. It was very popular with over 55 runs and was great to see members particpating with all levels of riding ability. We even got to see Nicole practice bronc riding for next years Dayboro rodeo. In the afternoon we had team penning practice which was entertaining for all the spectators.
The club will be running a stall at the Dayboro Day this Sunday. We will also be participating in the main parade that will be happening at 10.00am and are allowed to have 8 riders with quiet horses. If there is any members that has a quiet horse and would like to ride in the parade, please contact me as soon as possible. We will also be having a car in the parade for anyone who wants to sit in the back. If you are planning on being at the Dayboro Day, please feel free to pop in and say hello. We will be located across from the bakery.
On the 26 & 27 June we will be holding a Team Penning Clinic which will be run by Ty Granger and Dean Gilchrist. They held a team penning clinic for us last year which members loved and has asked for another one. There will be limited places for this clinic so get in quick.
We are also running a First Past the Post competition at the Dayboro Show on the Saturday afternoon. Last year it proved to be popular and we are hoping that this year will be the same. We will be limiting the runs for this event. Keep an eye out on our website for when the nomination forms are loaded.
We are also trying to plan another club day. We will be discussing this at the next general meeting on the 3 June and would like members to come and let us know what they would like to be run.
Lastly I would like to thank all the of people who have come earlier and help set up and stay late and packed up without your support these club days would not happen.
