Presidents Report - February 2010
I would like to welcome all of our members to a new year for the Dayboro Cow Horse Club. As most of you know we have had an AGM and there has been a whole new committee elected into the club. We would like to say a big thank you to the past committee members for all of the hard work that they have put into the club to get it to the point where it is. The new committee are all eager, enthusiastic and full of great ideas for this year and I am looking forward to working with them all. On Wednesday 3rd February we held a Planning/Committee meeting to which we had a great turn out of members who came along to have a say on where they would like the club to head and what events they would like to be held this year. I think that the new committee came away with a clear understanding of what the members wanted. If in the future you would like to put any idea’s forward, do not hesitate to contact any of the committee members. The first event will be held on the 6th and 7th of March, it will be a practice/sign on day. It will be a 2 day event kicking off at 1pm on Saturday for a afternoon of dry work. Then on Sunday you will be able to put what you learnt on Saturday afternoon into practice with cows. Barry Thompson will be on hand to give advice for anyone who needs it. Barry has competed successfully in many cutting competitions and has years of knowledge with training and working horses with cattle. I am looking forward to meeting all of the members of the Dayboro Cow Horse Club at our events. I’m sure that 2010 will be another successful year for the club.
See you all around
